We're just over two weeks away from the anniversary of the Dobbs ruling that overturned Roe and led to abortion bans throughout the country. And that means we’re just over two weeks away from our Majority Over MAGA Weekend of Action when Indivisible groups will host rallies, protests, and vigils to focus public attention on Trump and MAGA Republicans’ attacks on reproductive rights.

Majority Over MAGA Weekend of Action, June 21-24

We know abortion bans and restrictions on reproductive care are deeply unpopular, but we can't take it for granted that voters will cast their ballots with reproductive rights in mind. We also can't assume that all voters understand the threat that Trump and MAGA Republicans pose to our freedoms -- in fact, the latest New York Times poll showed that 17% of voters thought Biden was the one responsible for the overturning of Roe.

Our weekend of action will be a crucial first step in defining this election as a referendum on MAGA extremism and ensuring voters understand the threat Trump and MAGA pose to our rights and democracy. That's why we're making huge investments to help our groups make their events as big and splashy as possible. We're running trainings, helping with recruitment, sharing press and social media toolkits, and providing reimbursements to help pay for big visuals that’ll play well on local and national news.

We're not the only ones working to make abortion and MAGA extremism the focal points of this year's election. Biden and Harris and Democrats up and down the ballot have been campaigning on reproductive rights and running a record number of ads on the issue -- as they should be! But ads and campaign speeches can only go so far.

Fighting for reproductive rights is a winning message, but we can’t count on the voters we need hearing or trusting messages they see in ads or straight from the candidates. They also have to hear it from their neighbors, in their social media feeds, on the radio, and in rallies and protests across their communities. That's what this weekend of action is all about, and you can help make it as successful as possible by clicking here to pitch in and help support our local groups.

If we do our job well, voters will enter polling booths in November with democracy and abortion rights on their mind, and they'll relegate Trump and his MAGA cult to the ash heap of history.
