Your Election Eve Indivisible Newsletter
***To lead off our election eve newsletter, we've got a special intro from Indivisible co-founder Leah Greenberg*** |
Indivisibles,
In roughly 36 hours, the polls will start closing and the results will start coming in.
As in 2020, we may not know who won on election night. But what we’ll know is that we did everything in our control to win -- for Kamala Harris, for our Senate and House candidates, for our local and state candidates, but most importantly, for our families and our futures.
Because this election has the potential to make history. But at the end of the day, what’s on the line isn’t the names on the ballot.
It’s our lives, our futures, and our freedoms.
I’m voting because last year, I gave birth to a little girl in the state of Texas, where an abortion ban is in place. My daughter was born into a world where she has fewer rights than I did when I was born. She was born in a world where women and girls, like Amber Thurman and Nevaeh Crain, are being killed by MAGA abortion bans.
This may be the world she’s been born into, but I’m doing everything in my power to ensure it’s not the world she grows up in.
We’re better than Donald Trump and JD Vance. We’re better than MAGA and Project 2025. There are more of us -- people who believe in freedom, people who are ready to fight for the promise of our democracy, and people who are ready to fight for each other -- than there are of them. And this election, we’re ready to stuff their MAGA garbage in the trash where it belongs and move forward.
And if we can convince our friends, our neighbors, and our communities of what’s on the line in this election, we will win.
We’ve got roughly 36 hours to get every voter we can to the polls. And I can tell you -- no matter how this election goes -- at the end of the day, you’ll be glad you did everything you could to bring it home.
With that, check out your weekly to-do’s:
Your 5 weekly to-dos
- Get out the vote in your neighborhood. If you’re in a swing state or district, our Neighbor2Neighbor tool makes it easy to have a big impact in the final hours of this election. Sign up, and we’ll send you a script and the addresses of 10 Democratic-leaning households near you that might need an extra nudge to get to the polls. It’s simple, fun, and THE most effective way you can get out the vote.
- Join Indivisible co-founders Ezra Levin and Leah Greenberg for a special pre-election coffee klatch TODAY at 3pm ET/12pm PT! Leah and Ezra will answer your questions and discuss what to expect in the coming days, the best news sources to follow the results, how to interpret returns, and probably urge you to do numbers three and four on this list. You should also sign up to hear from Leah & Ezra on our post-election call -- more info on that below.
- Join Indivisible and Gaslit Nation for an Election Eve phonebank TODAY at 5pm ET/2pm PT as we join forces to save our democracy! We will be calling voters in key states like Montana and Nebraska with big races that could determine control of the Senate.
- Join the Indivisible BIPOC Caucus TODAY at 7pm ET/4pm PT to call voters in Texas, engaging them to vote for Colin Allred and Kamala Harris. Texans have an opportunity to shape the future by ensuring that BIPOC voices and leadership are front and center, so let’s unite to turn Texas a little bluer and amplify the importance of BIPOC representation in government!
- Stay protected and know your rights at the polls with our Election Protection Handout. We all know MAGA extremists do not respect the sanctity of voter rights and are not above resorting to intimidation and violence. Don’t be scared -- the vast majority of folks vote with no issues whatsoever. You can also always contact the Election Protection Hotline to report any instances of intimidation, harassment, or suspicious behavior by calling 866-OUR-VOTE or going to 866ourvote.org.
P.S. -- Through postcards, phonebanks, Neighbor2Neighbor canvassing, and so much more, Indivisible has been here to support the grassroots this election season. Campaigns may be drawing to a close, but our work never stops. Chip in today to ensure we can continue to defend democracy (including the election results) moving forward.

Making Meaning of the Moment
Things are likely to develop by the minute, hour, and day next week, as votes are counted and races get called. After we come together as Indivisibles during our Post-Election Call on Wednesday, there will be a lot more to process as a wider movement on Thursday.
So come together with the progressive movement for a community-wide post-election mass call to get expert analysis of the situation and learn how you can take action in whatever scenario we find ourselves.
Join Indivisible and members of 100+ other progressive organizations on Thursday, November 7 at 8pm ET/5pm PT as we move quickly to “Make Meaning of the Moment” after Election Day.
IndivisiWins
Indivisible CLT (Charlotte, NC) spent last week getting folks excited about voting by launching two canvassing initiatives for Democratic candidates Wesley Harris and Jeff Jackson.
Follow us on Facebook, Mastodon, Threads, and Instagram to keep up on the latest information, and text “INDIVISIBLE” to 59798 to opt-in to our text messaging program, where we send rapid response actions a few times a month.
We have spent this entire election season knowing that we’d have to leave everything on the field if we wanted to bring home a victory. In these final hours, nothing is decided and everything is possible. When we fight, we win.
In solidarity, Indivisible Team
