Congressional Republicans up for tough reelection fights next year are suddenly saying that they oppose cuts to Medicaid, when just a few short weeks ago, they supported a budget blueprint that would almost certainly decimate it, threatening healthcare for 80 million Americans.

And when asked what they’ll actually do to save Medicaid -- like oppose their party’s forthcoming reconciliation plan -- those same Republicans go silent. They’re not answering questions on what their party’s planning, and they’re certainly not facing their constituents at town halls.

Congressional Republicans don’t want us talking about their reconciliation plan because they know it screws over working people by taking trillions from Medicaid, SNAP, and other programs to pay for billionaires’ tax breaks. We need to get them on the record and hold them accountable.
