Indivisibles,
We knew this movement was powerful, but didn’t realize how powerful. Literally minutes after we sent an email calling for Kristi Noem’s impeachment, Trump outright fired her.
OK, obviously this was a coincidence, but a win is a win. No need to call and email your Members of Congress about impeaching Noem now (we can and must push for real accountability when Dems regain power).
BUT one thing we know: Regardless of who leads DHS, Congress needs to act immediately to protect our communities from its most brutal agencies – ICE and Border Patrol.
So we’ll ask you to send your Members of Congress a different email: Tell them to hold strong in the DHS funding fight and refuse to pass any budget that gives ICE and Border Patrol an additional penny or fails to place meaningful restrictions on Trump’s secret police force.
Then, feel free to call your representatives and senators too.
In solidarity, Indivisible Team

Indivisibles,
Kristi Noem has spent the past thirteen months abusing the power of her office. She’s overseen a surge of use-of-force incidents at DHS, including multiple killings by federal agents and dozens of deaths of immigrants in DHS custody. She’s obstructed congressional oversight of ICE facilities, denied access to investigations, and diverted taxpayer dollars into self-serving recruitment, shady contracts, and propaganda efforts.
This week, she was finally hauled before Congress to testify on her record of abuse and lawlessness. But in her hours of testimony, she refused to take accountability for any of her actions. She couldn’t even apologize to the families of Alex Pretti and Renee Good for falsely labeling their loved ones as domestic terrorists.
It’s clear Noem is unfit to serve -- and even some Republicans are starting to acknowledge that. In Tuesday’s hearing, Republican Senator Thom Tillis called her leadership a disaster and called for Noem to resign. We agree, but we’re not counting on Noem to do the right thing.
That’s why we’re calling for Noem’s impeachment and asking Indivisibles to demand your Members of Congress do the same.
There’s already a resolution on the table to impeach Noem, but we need every Democrat onboard and to peel off as many Republican votes as we can get.
Contact your Member of Congress today and tell them to impeach Noem:
1️⃣ Email all of your Members of Congress to demand Kristi Noem’s removal as DHS secretary.
2️⃣ Call your representative and tell them to vote yes on H.Res 966, the resolution to officially impeach Noem.
3️⃣ Call your senators and demand they publicly support impeaching Noem and commit to voting for her removal.
We know that impeachment and removal this year will be a longshot, but the fact that Republicans like Tillis are calling for her resignation shows there’s a growing, bipartisan movement to hold her accountable. And this impeachment resolution isn’t just about Noem.
We’re reminding Republicans: We won’t stop fighting until the ICE terror machine is dismantled and everyone responsible for its lawless brutality is held accountable. An impeachment resolution keeps the focus on the DHS’s pattern of violence, abuse of power, and reckless governance.
We’re setting expectations for Democrats. They need to commit to using every tool available to hold this regime accountable. We can’t wait for them to regain power -- we need them on the record now that they’re ready to impeach and remove Noem and any other official who has violated the law.
Above all else, this impeachment resolution is a warning to Noem and every enabler in the Trump regime. Their power is not permanent. Republicans will lose control of Congress, and when they do, Noem and everyone else who carries out Trump’s unconstitutional agenda will have to face consequences for their actions. That should be in the back of their minds every day they step into work.
This is the beginning of a long process to win accountability and restore the rule of law. We can get started today by demanding our Members of Congress support the resolution to impeach Noem.
