Republicans are scheduling votes for their ICE & Border Patrol funding bill this week, with the final Senate vote coming as soon as Thursday and the House vote expected shortly after. Reminder: This bill would give ICE and Border Patrol more than $70 billion for their detention camps, militarized deployments, and lawless arrests. As the cherry on top, Republicans added $1 billion in the bill for Trump’s ballroom.

The vast majority of Americans don’t want more money shoveled into ICE, Border Patrol, and Trump’s ballroom while they struggle to afford housing, food, and healthcare. Republicans know this -- that’s why they’re trying to move quickly to pass the bill this week. The longer it takes, the more time public backlash can grow, and the harder it will be for GOP leaders to keep their caucus unified. In fact, the cracks are already showing:

Sen. Tillis reportedly said he won’t vote for the bill if it comes up for a vote this week. Other Republicans have expressed their doubts and frustration behind closed doors. With the Senate voting as soon as Thursday and the House soon after, now’s the time to turn up the heat and expose the divides in the GOP.

🔴 If you have Republican Members of Congress:

• Call your Republican senators and demand they vote no on this funding bill. 
• Then, call your Republican representative and demand the same.

🔵 If you have Democratic Members of Congress:

• Email your Members of Congress and tell them to use every tool they’ve got to delay, obstruct, and build public opposition to this bill.

• Join our phonebank TODAY at 2:30pm ET/ 11:30am PT. We’re partnering with Bend the Arc to encourage voters in red states and districts to call their Republican Members of Congress and demand they fund our communities, not ICE and Border Patrol.

Since January, we’ve successfully blocked additional funding for ICE and Border Patrol. We’ve done it through sustained grassroots organizing, and it’s that same organizing that can stop this bill in its tracks.
