Recent polling shows Democrats with a double-digit enthusiasm advantage heading into the midterms. But enthusiasm alone doesn’t win elections -- not if we keep it to ourselves until we cast our votes on Election Day. Enthusiasm wins elections when we spread it -- when we talk to other voters about why we’re so eager to cast our ballots and encourage them to do the same. Then it becomes contagious. Then it powers historic waves.

We must transform that enthusiasm into volunteerism the likes of which we saw in 2018. So today, we’re asking you directly to pledge to take at least one action to help get out the vote over the next 46 days. 

That action can be with us, a local Indivisible group, another org you belong to, or a campaign. It can be knocking doors, making calls, or sending texts. Just commit to do something -- and in turn, we’ll commit to giving you lots of options to choose from. 

As soon as you sign up, we’ll get you enrolled in our election digest -- an email with volunteering opportunities we send every one to two weeks (that’s it!). Thousands of people have already taken action through these emails, and we hope they’ll be useful to you too (and to people you know -- these emails are great to forward to friends looking to get involved).  

Commit to volunteering this election cycle -- let’s turn our enthusiasm advantage into a historic get-out-the-vote effort that’ll power a massive Democratic wave this November.

Democrats are in a good position to retake control of Congress, but we can’t take anything for granted. We’re up against unprecedented mountains of cash in key battleground states: for ad buys alone, the GOP-affiliated Senate Leadership Fund pledged $45 million to defeat Abdul El-Sayed in Michigan and $51 million to defeat James Talarico in Texas. (That’s just the tip of the outside spending iceberg, all made easier by the Supreme Court’s ruling to strike down party spending limits in June.)

We cannot get complacent now. It’s time to lean into what Democrats have that Republicans don’t: grassroots people power. The GOP is contending with a massive enthusiasm gap that we can continue to drive a wedge through to tip the scales in Dems’ favor and win these races from coast to coast. But we need your help to do it.

Signing up for one action is enough -- that’s just 2 hours making calls, or knocking 10 doors in your neighborhood if you’re in one of our target states or districts. Together, we can help create a historic wave of voter turnout this November.
