The midterm elections are looming, and I have mixed emotions -- worry about the threat of election sabotage, but also optimism about the palpable energy I’m seeing from voters and activists across the country. 

I know that together we can organize a mass voter mobilization that can overwhelm any attempt at election interference. 

That’s why I’m thrilled to be part of HANDS OFF OUR VOTE! -- an amazing event that’ll be taking place in front of a live audience in NYC this Sunday evening and livestreamed nationally. And I hope you’ll be part of it, too.

The event is bringing together movement leaders, artists, and issue experts to inspire and mobilize people across the country to join the fight to protect this year’s elections and the most at-risk voters. Indivisible’s own Ezra Levin is coming, and so are Robert De Niro, Mo Amer, the amazing LaTosha Brown from Black Voters Matter, and more.

This’ll be fun. It’ll be a celebration of our power. But most importantly, it will provide tangible steps that everyone can take, regardless of where you live, to fight election subversion and voter suppression. 

No Kings might be the biggest day for election defense this October, but this’ll be the biggest night. Join us, and help spread the word.

While Trump will try to do everything he can to undermine the midterms, we will be ready to defend our voting rights and free and fair elections, and we’re going to do it with community power and preparation. That’s why this event is all about coming together with a plan and mobilizing our communities. 

We’re going to claim our power and fight to ensure every eligible voter can cast their ballot, and that every vote is counted.
