Indivisible

Indivisibles,

It’s long been clear to anyone paying attention that Trump wants to sabotage the midterms. This weekend, he raised the stakes when he refused to rule out invoking the Insurrection Act to seize control of the election. It’s exactly the kind of threat you expect from a would-be autocrat desperate to cling to power.

But while Trump makes threats, we are making plans. Plans to protect the election with mass, nonviolent organized people power.

That’s what the next No Kings Day is all about. Standing up, by the millions, to protest attacks on our elections and to build an unstoppable movement to protect the results.

We need you there on October 17.

With your help, we’re doing the concrete work it takes to defend our elections:

We’re mobilizing millions of people to take action on October 17 and sending a clear message to the regime: any attempt to sabotage the midterms will be met with nationwide resistance.

We’re aiming to drive the largest early vote turnout in our country’s history. Voting is how we take back our power. Voting early is how we protect our ballots and avoid last-minute attempts to disrupt voting on Election Day.

We’re recruiting those who come out in the streets to join a massive nationwide election protection program. We’ll be ready to respond to whatever election sabotage tactic the regime throws our way -- whether it’s voter intimidation, disinformation campaigns, or deploying ICE and federal agents to the polls.

This is our game plan and October 17 is at the center of it -- but this only works if we each play our part. With nine days to go, these are the three most important actions you can take ahead of No Kings Day to help defend our elections:

1️⃣ Sign up to join an event. Registering for an event is how you’ll receive important information from your local event host, how they’ll reach you in case they need extra volunteer support on October 17, and how you’ll be the first to know what comes next after No Kings Day.

2️⃣ Don’t see an event near you? Volunteer to host your own. Your event doesn’t need to be a massive rally. It can be a neighborhood BBQ, a carpool to the polls, a streetside visibility event reminding passersby when early voting begins -- whatever action helps drive early voting in your community and brings people into the movement to help defend our elections. The deadline to submit events is Wednesday, October 14 at 11:59pm PT.

3️⃣ Donate to help fund the movement. Millions of participants, hundreds of moving parts, anchor events, recruitment, trainings, and thousands of local events can only come together with a lot of grassroots support. If you're in a position to contribute to the effort, we could use your help.

This election year, our democracy is being tested like never before, but no matter what the regime throws our way, we’ll rise up together and reclaim our right to decide our country’s future.

In solidarity,
Indivisible Team
