It’s been almost a week since the biggest early vote activation in US history, and we’ve got some exciting updates and next steps to share. We’ll try to be brief because we know you’ve probably got lots of canvassing and phone banking on the schedule this weekend (right? riiight?).

Numbers

We’ve said from the beginning the success of this No Kings would be determined by one question: Did we drive the biggest early vote numbers ever? And initial reports suggest 🥁 yeah, it’s happening.

Early voting is up everywhere, but especially in areas on the No Kings map. New analysis from TargetSmart based on preliminary data shows that early voting surged by 51% over the same Saturday in 2022 (the last midterms) in zip codes with a No Kings event.

And if we’re just looking at 2026, areas with a No Kings event saw significantly higher early voting numbers than areas that didn’t.

Obviously, this wasn’t just about getting early voting numbers up on a single day. Early voting is a bulwark against Trump’s election sabotage, so we need to continue pushing for bigger and bigger numbers.

Meta Update

After Meta suspended the No Kings Instagram account in the middle of our day of action, the coalition sent a letter to Mark Zuckerberg demanding answers on what happened, and what steps Meta is taking to prevent pro-democracy accounts from being silenced again in the lead up to the midterms.

Meta has failed to respond publicly to our letter, but now, we’re not the only ones asking questions. Yesterday, Sen. Chris Van Hollen and other Senate Dems also sent a letter to Zuck demanding a full accounting of the incident, with documents, by next week.

You can urge your members of Congress to back investigations into potential Meta censorship of accounts critical of Trump and other right-wing global leaders here.

Get Ready For What’s Next

Between Meta’s actions and threats from the regime, there are many potential ways Trump and his cronies could try to sabotage this election. We are not going to let them succeed.
