Hi Indivisibles,

Exactly 242 years ago today, a scrappy group of patriots went up against a wealthy tyrant who didn't believe the people deserved representation in government. Despite the overwhelming odds against them, those patriots won.

That’s what today is all about: not blind patriotism, pool parties, or fireworks, but an unlikely victory against King George. And what better way to celebrate than by working to defeat our very own wealthy tyrant?

Here are three ways you can help us continue this very American tradition today:

  1. Find your local Indivisible group and get involved by knocking doors, phone banking, or texting voters. In order to defeat Donald Trump’s agenda, we’ll need to expand the electorate and elect progressive leaders e-v-e-r-y-w-h-e-r-e at all levels of government.

  2. Make a donation to Indivisible to help us keep providing voter outreach tools and organizing support to the thousands of Indivisible groups all across the country. The better our field programs are, the more likely we are to win in the midterms and beyond!

  3. Call your Senators’ district offices tomorrow and demand they vote no on Trump’s SCOTUS nominees. We need to let both Republicans and Democrats know that a ‘yes’ vote on Trump’s nominee is politically toxic, and it’ll follow them for the rest of their careers.

242 years ago, our Founding Fathers proved that we can win against wealthy tyrants, even when the odds are seemingly insurmountable. And together, Indivisibles are going to prove that once again, by defeating Donald Trump and his agenda.

Happy Fourth from all of us at Indivisible!
