More and more reports of voting purging are surfacing, and we need to make sure we reach as many voters as possible before election day. Indivisibles --
The 2018 midterm elections have turned into a battle for the right to vote itself.
In Georgia, progressives are fighting to keep the Secretary of State (and gubernatorial candidate!) from purging the voter rolls of 53,000 newly registered voters, most of whom are people of color.
In North Dakota, a new voter ID decision will now make it harder for Native Americans to vote in the upcoming election. While Texas, a state with notorious low turnout numbers, rejected 2,400 potential voters who registered on Vote.org for not signing their forms in-person despite registering online!
We need your support now more than ever as the GOP uses every underhanded tactic they can think of to suppress voter turnout!
So click this link, sign up for a phone bank shift, and help drive (early) voters to the polls for each and every one of our endorsed candidates. We’re phonebanking each. and. every. day. until this election is over to support the great work Indivisibles are doing on the ground, in their districts and states.
Here’s who we’re phonebanking this week:
Can’t make it to a shift this week? You can still support these phonebanks by donating to fund our efforts.
We’ve said this before but its really, really important: getting involved now through the election in direct voter contact -- phonebanking 📞, canvassing 📋, voter registration 🗳 -- will push our movement to victory in November. And through this strategy -- district by district -- we will reshape what’s politically possible.
In solidarity, The Indivisible Team
