Indivisible
And: our latest recruitment resources, new electoral tools, and more >>

Ellen,

Today is a sober moment in our country's history: the Select Committee to Investigate the January 6 Attack on the United States Capitol's hearings begin tonight, at 8pm Eastern Time/5pm Pacific Time. We also mark another terrible milestone today, with the 254th mass shooting in the first 160 days of 2022. The Republican Party is holding our country hostage on gun violence prevention, LGBTQ+ rights, and other vital freedoms in the name of their white supremacist agenda. They threaten much more than the future of our democracy -- innocent lives are truly on the line.

We hope you'll watch the hearings and follow their findings in the days ahead. Their revelations will only make our work this November more urgent, so that we can defend and expand our majorities in Congress and defeat MAGA Republicans at every level. In case you missed Tuesday's Give No Ground kickoff, be sure to sign up on our new website to adopt a race for your group's electoral work this cycle, and check out the recording of our national call with Rep. Katie Porter and IndivisiCandidate Jamie McLeod-Skinner

Here are your top actions for the week ahead:

    1. This Saturday, join the national mobilization against gun violence with March For Our Lives. We are going all-in on Saturday, June 11 to demand our leaders take on gun violence prevention and end the tyranny of the Republican extremists standing in our way. Be sure to fill out this form for reimbursements for any event-related costs, and reach out to your Indivisible organizer if you have any questions.
    2. Register for our next Group Leadership Network (GLN) call GLN call Thursday, June 23 at 5pm PT/8pm ET. If you’re an Indivisible group leader who is excited to be a grassroots partner in our national strategy to win progressive victories and build sustained movement power -- in your local communities and nationwide– you are encouraged to join our monthly GLN call. You’ll have opportunities to hear from our leadership team, policy experts, and guest speakers with timely information to help you make the most of Indivisible resources and support for planning local actions that get attention and advance your movement goals. Monthly GLN calls are also a great space to be in community with other local group leaders who share your commitment to doing the work to win progress and create an inclusive democracy. Monthly calls are open to all currently active group leaders, co-leaders, leadership teams, and steering committee members who are interested in supporting Indivisible’s national strategy and goals.
    3. RSVP for our next Truth Brigade call on Wednesday, June 22 at 4:30pm ET/1:30pm PT. We're excited to feature a special Truth Brigade multi-organization action to debunk electoral disinformation. We hope you'll join us!

Don't Miss Our New Electoral Tools: Mobilize & Empower 🔨 🧰 🪛

Indivisible is testing out a powerful relational organizing app called Empower. And we're looking for groups to participate in the pilot program!

Empower will allow you to maximize your relational organizing efforts and help get voters to the polls by showing you how to have effective conversations with people you already know. We will be testing out an electoral-focused relational organizing messaging program geared toward this year’s midterm elections. Not only are we bringing a midterm-focused messaging program to this pilot, but we’ll also be providing exclusive resources from Empower to Indivisible groups, such as an Indivisible exclusive workbook and more!

We’ll be hosting a pilot program kick off call on Thursday June 30 at 8pm ET/5pm PT. If you’re a group with 3 to 10 interested group members (regardless of actual group size) and would like to join the pilot program please reach out to Bobby, our National VAN Manager, at bobby@indivisible.org. But hurry! Space for the pilot program is limited!

Indivisible is also extending the ability for local groups to utilize their parent Mobilize account as a powerful digital event and volunteer management tool. Local groups will be able to create online actions and events that will be shown on Mobilize’s homepage (which is a hub for progressive organizing and a place many volunteers go to find events near them), and will have dedicated links you can send to folks to sign up for events through email or social media!

Click here to sign up for Mobilize and get started! (note: if you’re already using Mobilize, your account will simply be upgraded)
