We’ve got a really short (but really important) newsletter for you today because, well, we‘ve got a lot of work to do this week. 

Right now, Congress is working through the appropriations process to determine how to allocate government funds -- and we have a real chance to make a difference next week by fighting to defund ICE and CBP, and end ICE’s ability to steal money from other government agencies. As usual, Indivisibles are showing up and ready to put our people-power where it counts.

And with our #DefundHate Week of Action (WoA) launching and the next presidential debates right around the corner, we need to join in and take action right now. Let’s jump in!

 Here are our top actions for the week ahead:

➜ Kick off the #DefundHate Week of Action with our National Call-In Day. Call 1-844-909-0232 and tell your representative to cut funding for ICE and CBP and end ICE’s ability to steal money from other agencies now. Visit the Defund Hate campaign site for more info about what to expect this week. 

➜ Opt-in to our exclusive Indivisible Focus Group by texting DEBATES to 977-79. We want to capture the Indivisible movement’s take on the debates as soon as they’re over -- which means we’ll need an exclusive focus group that we’ll text right after the debate ends (11pm ET / 8pm PT) and ask you how you feel. 

➜ Join us tomorrow 8pm EST / 5pm PST for a special Facebook Live featuring Leah and Ezra for a look inside our Defund Hate Week of Action and what we’re looking for in the upcoming debates. They’ll be talking numbers from our call-in day today, what we’re expecting from the rest of the week, and exactly what we want to hear from the presidential candidates on the issues that matter to us all.
